We really did nothing special these few days, which is pretty well how we had planned. Fortunately with the weather being dry and sunny, we were able to sit out in our sheltered area for a few hours every day and enjoy the warmth the winter sun was putting out. We watched people come and go, chatting with a few of them, lots of walkies for Jamie otherwise just lazing around.
Finally, as forecast, the weather started to change Thursday lunchtime as it gradually clouded over and by late afternoon it was raining. Planning to move on Friday we got as much as possible of the packing away done as we could in between the showers because the rain was expected to carry on throughout the night and well into tomorrow. There was even a rumble or two of thunder.
We have enjoyed our stay at Devesa Gardens, it got us back into the "holiday" mood we'd been missing. However it's not in our nature to stay for too long in any one place so we are ready for new vistas. Our good friends Derek and June have bought a place near Aguilas and returned there a couple of days ago so our plan is to head there.
